Australia recommences its adoption programme with India.

The Government of Australia has decided to recommence the Adoption Programme with India, as per Hague Convention on Inter-Country Adoption. The adoptions from India had earlier been put on hold by the Government of Australia eight years ago, on the reported charges of trafficking of children for Inter-country adoption by some of the recognized Indian placement agencies (the Adoption agencies mandated to place children in Inter-country adoption at that point of time).

India- to Arctic from Antarctic- Shift..

India, one of the nine members of the Antarctican treaty has been exploring scientific research in as many fields from Geology to Oceanography to Metereology etc., for almost 40 years.

The government of India, after a serious debate within the scientific community, is now planning to shift focus and explore research activities in the Arctic, realizing the need after facing serious effects of global warming, the world over.

National Center for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) in 1998 is being re-named as National Center for Polar and Ocean Research.

India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting Begins in Muscat.

The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, today co-chaired 8th session of India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) along with Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of Oman, Dr Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy. Addressing the Joint Commission Suresh Prabhu invited Omani companies to build on their success in India and make investments to benefit from ‘Make in India’ and ‘Invest India’ programmes which are aimed to encourage manufacturing.

Fears of long drawn trade war bet ween China and US

The trade war between US and China seems to be heading into a prolonged trade giving no hints of any quick relief in the trade war. Both countries have inflicted higher tariffs on 34 billion worth of goods from each country.

"Friday"- dawn the implementation of new tariffs by the US on Chinese goods, China reciprocating with new tariffs on US goods triggering a lengthy trade war.

Further, US president Trump is eyeing on the fresh round of tariffs on 500 billion worth of Chinese goods, which could lead to further escalation of the trade war.

New Tax rules in China to control the tax evasion in the film industry.

The Chinese government put forward new tax rules to restrict the tax evasion in the film industry. The illegal payment taxes in the film industry which involves the fake agreement with an unreasonable payment to avoid the tax. It also used in the making of the films to reduce the costs of production. 

The new planning was made after some investigation for tax evasion and by finding out the famous celebrities who charged by signing the fake agreements.

The recent events that unfolded in Maldives gave an idea of the problems India will face, as China gains control of the neighbours. The Maldives depending on China over India at the time of crisis points to the lack of interest India has shown to them.The fight for power between India and China has never escalated so quickly before and the time has come for India to have a better relations with its neighbours like Pakistan,Nepal, Sri Lanka,China and others.

Skywatchers will get a rare triple treat Jan. 31: a supermoon, a blue moon, and a total lunar eclipse.

 

 

How rare is the event? Even without the supermoon, it's the first blue moon total lunar eclipse in the U.S. since March 1866, less than a year after the Civil War ended, according to EarthSky.org.

A blue moon — which occurs about every 2½ years — is another term for the second full moon in a single calendar month. January's first full moon occurred Jan. 1. 

Though the exact moment of this full moon is 8:37 a.m. ET Jan. 31, the moon will appear plenty full for a day or two before and after that.

However, the moon doesn't actually appear blue.

London tower fire: Baby dropped from 10th floor caught by man on ground

A quick-thinking man caught a baby thrown from the "ninth or the tenth floor" window of a building by a desperate woman after a huge fire engulfed the 24-storey residential tower block in London.

The fire at Grenfell Tower on the Lancaster West Estate in Latimer Road was reported at 01:16 local time. About 600 people were believed to have been inside the tower's 120 flats when the blaze ripped through the building.

   A female model and body builder of repute in Iran was arrested after she published revealing photos of herself online.“One of the female bodybuilders who recently published nude photographs on social networks has been arrested,” a news agency reported.
But in Iran, “nude” can refer to women who are not wearing headscarves or are showing parts of their arms and legs.She had previously been warned about posting selfies that were considered “unIslamic”.
The bodybuilder was sent to prison because she wasn’t able to post bail of 2 million rials ($82).

Pakistani singer stops his concert midway to rescue a girl.

In a remarkable incident well known Pakistani singer Atif Aslam. rescued a girl from being eve-teased during a live concert in Karachi on Saturday.Atif reportedly stopped his performance midway to admonish a man, who was allegedly harassing a female audience of his concert. He said, “”Tumne kabhi ladki nahi dekhi hai? Tumhari maa-behen bhi ho sakti hai yahaan par (Have you never seen a girl before? Your mother or sister could have been here as well).” He then requested security personnel to rescue the girl, who was then lifted on to the stage before being taken to a safe place.

Thief jailed for 22 years for stealing television remote.

An American thief who escaped the long arm of law for years despite committing grave thefts,at last got convicted for stealing a TV remote.Eric Bramwell, of Melrose Park, Chicago, was found guilty in November of burglary and has been jailed for 22 years for stealing a TV remote.The 35-year-old had entered the common area of an apartment building in the 100 block of Cross Street, in Wheaton, on August 2015, and the stole the universal remote.

In a stunning finding a miniature brain and a slightly developed skull with greasy hair was found in a teenager's ovaries while she underwent an appendix surgery. The incident happened in happened in Japan. Though cysts are found in ovaries, it is extremely rare to see brain like structures.
