Leading fashion designer and activist Wendell Rodricks passed away at his residence in Goa. He was a man who had stamped his own name in the garment industry. In 2014, he was awarded the Padma Shri. Wendell Rodricks was very involved not only in the garment industry but also in the writing. He has also been able to showcase his acting skills by appearing in the films Boom and Fashion and in the series True West. He remained supportive of them, arguing that homosexuality was not wrong.
He also supported the Supreme Court ruling that homosexuality is not offensive. He was also actively speaking and writing for this purpose. He would often say that he was an activist because he loved Goa. His autobiography, The Green Room, was also an excellent commentary. His comments about Priyanka's dress at the 2020 Grammy Awards have sparked little controversy. However, he went on to say that he did not say anything about Priyanka's body and that they did not wear it.
It was through Wendell Rodricks's Instagram page that he disagreed with his favourite outfit. Many had come against him on this occasion. Aishwarya Rai's look at the Paris Fashion Week was also noted. However, the great genius of Wendell Rodricks has left the world forever without any mention of controversy.
His wife was with him at the time of his death. Many people from different corners of the world offer condolences. He was very active in the first Lakme Fashion Week in 2000.
