Kerala Government seeks increase in borrowing limit.

Kerala Government has put forward to increase the borrowing limit from 3% to 4.5% of GSDP. The central government has taken note of the request and shall be booked into favourably, assumes Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Mr Pon Radhakrishnan.

He also assumed additional assistance to Kerala in the backdrop of floods and its fury left in the history of Kerala.

Union Government rejected Kerala’s appeal on Kasturirangan report.


The  Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change at the center has rejected Kerala Government’s plea to avoid 424 square kilometers inhabited area in the implementation of the Kasturirangan report on Wednesday.  The official meeting with the state and central ministry officials presented that the implementation only can be accomplished based on population in the villages.

Suresh Gopi- MP booked for evation of tax on Luxury

An actor, MP-Rajyasabha representing BJP-Suresh Gopi has been booked under evation of vehicle tax in Kerala, allegedly forging the documents to get a luxury car in his have in Pondicherry.

Kerala police found that a faked-residential address was given to register the luxury car in his name which saved 20% of the tax eligible by the Kerala government to receive if the car was registered in  Kerala. Cars casting 20 lakhs and above are declared as luxury cars category.

Fahadh Fazil and Amala Paul for have been booked on similar grounds.
