Negating her failure to claim a medal in the Rio-Olympics due to severe body pain, thus crying for the lost-chance in the Olympics, has just regained the fighting spirits in her, won a gold medal against Japan's Yuki trie, breaking the jinx of losing against this world-class opponent.

Hima Das,first Indian to win a gold- scripts history at Athletics Junior World Championships

Hima Das has written her name in golden letters by winning a gold medal at IAAF World Under 20 Athletics Championships, eventually, the first Indian to lift a gold medal, a proud Indian of pride India, rejoices her achievement.

Indian sprinter Hima Das won gold in a record time of 51.46 seconds, in the 400 meters Athletic Championships on Thursday.

Rafel Nadal prevails over Juan Martin del- Potro.

Rafel Nadal fought for 4 hours 48 minutes, a marathon match he won against Juan Martin Del- Potro giving boost his morale by finding a place in the semifinals, which was a big question mark since 2011.

Gambling in Sports- allow says Law Commission of India.

Indian sports has been sceptical of gambling legally, has many scandals in high powered cricket with illegal bettings on, or even cricketers involved circumspecting the game itself.

Law Commission of India has come out with a report suggesting Indian government that "it is almost impossible to stop betting in sports, hence it is advisable to legalize gambling in sports"- says report.

Kerala's Sanju dropped-fails fitness test,


   Sanju  V  Samson has been dropped from the test team for coming tour to England. He failed the" Yo-Yo" test which evaluates the physical fitness of players to qualify or otherwise. Sanju failed to get the 16.2 par score to qualify. The Cricket team lead by Shreyas Iyer has reached London  It is understood that Sanju could not practice enough due to health problems.

BCCI Nominations Published for Dhyan Chand, Khel Ratna and Dronacharya

The Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) nominated the legendary opener Sunil Gavaskar for the Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday. They recommended Indian national cricket team Captain Virat Kohli for the highest sporting honor Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and former Indian Captain Rahul Dravid for the prestigious Dronacharya Award, for successfully guiding the India under-19 team to World Cup title in 2018

Shiffrin wins giant slalom for 2nd career Olympic gold


The 22-year-old American used a hard-charging final run to win the giant slalom Thursday for her second career Olympic title. Shiffrin trailed by 0.20 seconds after the first run but powered through a course filled with bumps to quickly make up time in the second.

She ended up 0.39 seconds ahead of Ragnhild Mowinckel of Norway at Yongpyong Alpine Center. Federica Brignone of Italy took bronze, 0.46 behind Shiffrin’s combined time of 2 minutes, 20.02 seconds. First-run leader Manuela Moelgg of Italy wound up eighth.

First Day-Night Test on own soil at Kensington Oval in Barbados

 Kensington Oval in Barbados will be written in golden letters in the history of  West Indies cricket on 23rd June 2018 by playing a Day-Night test match against Srilanka for the first time. 

Sri Lanka will be touring West Indies to play a three test match series beginning 6th June at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago.

 The Second test begins on 14th June at St.Lucia.

Even though West Indies have played two day-night test matches, it will be playing its first match on its own soil on 23rd June in the third test being played at Kensington Oval.

IOC has a mess on its hands with CAS ruling on Russian athletes

There won’t be zero Russian athletes at these Olympics, as some might have thought. There will actually be quite a bit more than zero Russians here: 169 to be exact, all judged to be “clean” by an IOC panel, with the chance that another 13 who were deemed to be cheating could sneak back in thanks to a surprising reprieve last week from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. That could mean a grand total of 182 Russians competing at these Games, which would be just 50 fewer than the 232 who were in Sochi four years ago.

ICC U-19 World Cup 2018: Afghanistan trounce NewZeland to enter semifinal

 Afghanistan beat New Zealand by 202 runs to storm into the semifinals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup at the Hagley Oval. Australian Open: Rafael Nadal retires with injury against Marin Cilic

Rafael Nadal struggled with injury on Tuesday at the Australian Open, retiring against Marin Cilic in the fifth set of their quarterfinal match. 

Cilic was leading 3-6, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-2, 2-0 when Nadal decided to give in. 

The No. 2 seed, Nadal came out in the fifth set hobbling and unable to move around the court. 

He had been bothered by pain in his right knee late last season. The 31-year-old Spaniard was looking to add to his 16 Grand Slam singles titles in Melbourne. 

Nadal received treatment on his upper right leg after the fourth set.
