S.Korea authorises emergency use of Pfizer's oral coronavirus treatment

SEOUL  : South Korea authorised for emergency use Pfizer's antiviral pills targeting COVID-19 as the first of its kind to be introduced in South Korea, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said on Monday.

Although the vaccination rate for people 18 years of age or older is 92%, South Korea has resumed last week's strict distance keeping after extending medical services for record new infections and serious cases, easing them in November.
