Internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam danseuse and actor Shobana's latest production, Trance, premieres in Thrissur, which comprises various Indian performing traditions brought beautifully together in a collage of rhythm. The event is organized by Mathrubhumi and Club FM, will take place on January 28 at 6.30 pm at the Lulu Convention Center at Thrissur. The event will be performing in front of invited guests.
Trance is a dance form that combines classical, Sufi and contemporary dance forms with Indian, Asian and Western musical cultures. What makes the Trance so different is that "Magdalena Mariyam" is presented in conjunction with the confluence of Vishnu-Shiva mythology.
Shobhana will also perform a traditional style Bharatanatyam in association with the program. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the magic of dancing drums. Trance, which is accompanied by music and lighting, has received acclaim from Australia, the UK and the Gulf.
