Automobile giant Volvo has launched the world's largest bus chassis at the FetransRio exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.The new bi-articulated chassis, Gran Artic 300, is 30 meter and can carry up to 300 passengers. Volvo is a leading supplier of buses for high passenger capacity transport systems, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). The new Gran Artic 300 has been developed in Brazil especially for BRT systems - high demand transportation systems where buses run on dedicated lanes. The bus will be able to carry up to 30 passengers more than the preceding model.
Splendor, the country’s most sold motorcycle, reclaimed its position as the most sold two-wheeler, helped by a revival in rural markets and festive demand in October. Last month, country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp sold 254,813 Splendors, about 4,000 more than the 250,681 Activas sold by its rival Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI), data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam) showed. Splendor is the largest selling motorcycle brand from Hero and till date the company has sold close to 29 million of them in India.

Indian automobile giant Bajaj Auto has announced that it has started the production of the most powerful bike in its own stable till date.It will be a 400cc motorcycle and the launch is expected around the middle of next month.Exactly 15 years back in November 2001 it had launched Pulsar which went on to define the sports motorcycle market in India.Our new bike will set new benchmarks in its segment,” Bajaj Auto President (Motorcycle Business) Eric Vas said in a statement.
Automobile giant Hyundai has set an ambitious target of achieving sales of 10 lakh cars per annum by 2020. And in order to achieve this Hyundai has reportedly decided to reintroduce its needs bestseller model Santro.The Santro would be brought back in a new avatar. As per reports, the new Santro is already in the works in South Korea and should be expected to hit India in a year or so. Santro is likely to be launched in early 2018 and will replace the struggling Hyundai i10. Santro is expected to be priced between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.
