The Kerala State Police Chief Loknath Behera has issued an order appointing one woman police officer in police stations as child protection officer.
The state Labour Department has set up two toll-free helplines to hear on work, wages and employment-related complaints. The centre will work from 7 AM to 7 PM on all days, including holidays. An officer will attend the calls.
Facebook is again under the issues of misusing users data after the Cambridge Analytica Scandal. The new claim is that Facebook collected information on users and their friends through its apps. This made in a filing submitted last week to the superior court in San Mateo, California. It is part of a suit brought against Facebook in 2015 by now-defunct startup Six4Three. It alleges that Facebook tracked users, sometimes without their express consent. 
The enforcement wing of the Motor Vehicle Department with the government had given the nod to roll out the "State zone Project", for monitoring the road corridors in the state. The enforcement wing has 625 personnel in the grade of the Motor Vehicle Inspector(MVI) and assistant MVI for 1.5 crore vehicles. It will extend into 51 squads. The government decided to create new 262 posts in the MVD for executing the project. Ten Posts of Regional Transport Officer(RTO), 65 posts of MVI and 187 Posts of AMVI had been sanctioned.
An adult couple has a right to live together without marriage, the Supreme Court said. The top court held that live-in relationships were now even recognized by the legislature and they had found a place under the provisions of the protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act,2005.

    Kerala government has further established a “self-defense training” for women and young girls throughout the state in the backdrop of series of assaults on women happening in the state. As a confidence-building measure, the ongoing programme is now intently strengthened by creating the needed hope in the women of Kerala.The Police Department has permanent training centers in the 19 Police Districts, and a state level center in Thiruvananthapuram. Financial assistance of Rs.3 lakhs for each programme is sanctioned by the government.
