India’s latest communication satellite, GSAT-31 was successfully launched from the Spaceport in French Guiana during the early hours today. The launch vehicle Ariane 5 VA-247 lifted off from Kourou Launch Base, French Guiana at 2:31 am (IST) carrying India’s GSAT-31 and Saudi Geostationary Satellite 1/Hellas Sat 4 satellites, as scheduled.

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways will organise a Motor Rally to commemorate 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The rally will travel through places historically associated with Gandhiji, both in India, as well as in Bangladesh and Myanmar. It will connect the places of significance in Gandhiji’s life, and simultaneously take up advocacy on Road Safety concerns. This is part of the yearlong celebrations to commemorate the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhi in India and across the globe, initiated by the Government of India on 2nd October last year.
Common Services Centres (CSCs) under Digital India mission are providing Citizen Centric Services. CSCs are delivering many government and non-government services to citizens in rural India across the country. They have also launched many products: like Patanjali, i-Ball, Samsung and signed an agreement with many service providers. Common Services Centres (CSCs) are also selling IFFCO fertilizers and seeds through its vast network in the country.
