Microsoft Chief  Executive Officer Satya Nadella has unravelled his company's new initiatives in India with a focus on cloud computing for enterprises and organisations.  Ahead of this move, Microsaoft announced a new Skype Lite app for the Indian market on Wednesday. Skype light will be available only on Android for now. 
ISRO PUTS RECORD 104 SATELLITES IN ORBIT
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)  set a new record by successfully launching 104 satellites on a single Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket from the Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning. The PSLV-XL variant rocket, standing 44.4 metre tall and weighing 320 tonnes, shot into the morning skies at 9.28 a.m,  with a booming sound as it broke free from the  free of the earth’s gravitational pull.
New Dehli: Punjab and Goa witnessed heavy voter turn out in the first round of Assembly elections in five states that began on Saturday. According to the Election  Commission, Punjab witnessed 70  per cent and Goa a record-breaking 83 per cent at the end of polling.

It seems that Indian beef has a lot of takers across the world.According to latest data released by Foreign Agricultural Services/US Department of Agriculture, India along with Brazil remained top global exporter of beef during the year 2016. In 2015 India was declared world's top beef exporter and in 2016 it continued to retain its number position in beef export.
     The government-owned company Air India has cracked the whip by temporarily takingll off 57 crew members from flying and put them on ground duty. These cabin crew members, including air hostesses, have been told to "shape up" within a stipulated time frame, failing which they would be grounded permanently, Air India sources said. Air India has over 3,800 cabin crew members, of whom more than 2,500 are women. Out of the total cabin crew strength, around 2,200 members are on permanent rolls.
    In a news that should make Indians glad, India's IT capital Bengaluru has clinched the top spot in the world's most dynamic cities list released by the City Momentum Index, drawn up by a professional services and investment management firm JLL.Bengaluru was chosen ahead of London, Austin and Boston. Closely competing in the world's top ten dynamic cities is Hyderabad, at spot 5.
Madame Tussaud the hugely popular wax exhibition hall which is a major landmark in London is ready to make a big appearance in India in June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and American pop star Lady Gaga's statues are among the star attractions. This will be the exhibition hall's first branch in India. If things go ahead as planned in about two-and-a-half years ATM, credit and debit card transactions is likely to be replaced by money transfers through thumb impressions in 30 seconds. This was revealed by Niti Aayog top official. Aadhaar-enabled payment systems are making existing methods redundant.
