The practice of Hatha Yoga removes blockages from joints and glands and removes toxins and fat from all over the body. One becomes flexible, skinny and healthy and then the body is ready to receive Prana(energy). Doing pranayama practices(breathing exercises) enables one to receive energy. Upon practicing pranayama the prana moves freely throughout the body and laziness, inertia dizziness vanishes. Once the energy flows throughout the body, the mind and body are settled down and ready to meditate.  One will meditate with the four qualities of the breath (no pause, no sound, no jerk and deep), with diaphragmatic breathing and chant the Sacred Word(Mantra).  At this point, the journey starts towards self so that mind is serene, calm and reduces stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Ultimately happiness is achieved within oneself. This yoga course helps you to achieve this level.

Ratheesh Kochukattil (Shiva) is an experienced Yoga teacher and spiritual motivator was trained under the guidance of His holiness Swami Veda Bharathi of Himalayan tradition. He was born in Kerala. After completing his higher secondary education. He undertook monastery life in Shivagiri Ashram in Kerala where he studied Vedanta Philosophy for five years.Afterward, he felt an earnest desire to go on a pilgrimage in the Himalayas. He traveled all over India barefooted as an ascetic and roamed around the Himalayas. He met many adepts and sadhus in the Himalayas. When he reached Rishikesh and met his master Swami Veda Bharati, his search for the master ended and the real spiritual journey started. He was initiated into strict spiritual vows for five years and disciplined life studying yoga, meditation, and philosophy. At the age of 29 masters advised him to enter into the household life and share the wisdom of eternal yoga to all true seekers. Since then he has been sharing his knowledge. And has been teaching in many yoga schools in Rishikesh and around India. Shiva will be dedicating his time in this Yoga Center to energize on the following  Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Chakra Meditation.

The following types of Yoga will be practiced using Himalayan techniques.

Hatha Yoga

The practice of Yoga philosophically is the practice of Mindfulness,Self observation, the habit of being a witness to once own physical functions, aware of whatever it is that we are doing with our bodies, whether it be the external surface of the body or internal things like muscle tension, heart rate, blood flow and breathing. As a practitioner advances in the practice of mindfulness, his state of being a witness grows further, even to so-called  "unconscious" functions.People today have become aware of much more autonomic functions.Practitioner progressively becomes aware not only of the external, physical skeleton but also of all the internal organs. He knows the condition of his lungs, and if there is any kind of disease there, he recognizes it.

  Meditation

The ultimate aim of meditation is self-realization.

Personality is not Self.Personality is composite and an aggregate of many components. The self is one unalloyed. The personality is material, the Self is a spiritual energy. The personality changes constantly, the Self is unchanging. The personality is transient, the Self-permanent.The Self is untouched un-effected, ever pure, ever wise, ever free.It is neither attracted nor averse to anything and never in ignorance because its very nature is consciousness.Weapons cannot leave it, fires can't burn it, waters do not wet it, and winds do not dry it The personality is a garment, the Self is the wearer. The Selfs identification with the personality is ignorance and bondage.Technics of meditation helps us to realize our SELF.

 Pranayama(control of breath)

The goal of teaching Pranayama is to present practical and theoretical knowledge regarding the breath in such a way that it can be applied as a tool for personal growth. To this end, a series of practical exercises and techniques for systematically working with the breath and controlling the flow of prana is described in detail. These serve to expand breath awareness, for as we observe the way in which we use our breath, various unconscious breathing habits are identified and replaced with more beneficial ones.Just as a child overcomes his clumsiness by becoming aware of his body and learning to walk, so does breath awareness gradually bring breathing under greater conscious control.

As the breath is the link between the body and mind, it can intervene in the activities of either level. With increased awareness and control of the subtle aspects of breathing, these interventions can affect deep physical and psychological changes. The practice of pranayama then opens up new avenues of being to the conscious mind, providing a powerful tool in the pursuit of truly holistic health and personal growth.
