Tripartite Cooperation, in Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and United Kingdom (UK) and Northern Ireland for cooperation in the fields of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.  The MoU was signed on 17.04.2018.

The MoU aims to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries for the purpose of increasing production and productivity of Indian livestock and fisheries.

India and Republic of Korea; on the cooperation in the field of railways.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the cooperation between Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), India and Republic of Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) to strengthen and promote scientific and technical cooperation in the field of railways.  The MoU was signed on 10th July 2018.

India - Kenya Joint Trade Committee meeting held in Nairobi.

The 8th meeting of India-Kenya Joint Trade Committee was held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 22nd – 25th August 2018. The meeting was co-chaired by Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu and Mr Peter Munya, Cabinet Secretary (Minister) for Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, Government of Kenya.

Australia recommences its adoption programme with India.

The Government of Australia has decided to recommence the Adoption Programme with India, as per Hague Convention on Inter-Country Adoption. The adoptions from India had earlier been put on hold by the Government of Australia eight years ago, on the reported charges of trafficking of children for Inter-country adoption by some of the recognized Indian placement agencies (the Adoption agencies mandated to place children in Inter-country adoption at that point of time).

India- to Arctic from Antarctic- Shift..

India, one of the nine members of the Antarctican treaty has been exploring scientific research in as many fields from Geology to Oceanography to Metereology etc., for almost 40 years.

The government of India, after a serious debate within the scientific community, is now planning to shift focus and explore research activities in the Arctic, realizing the need after facing serious effects of global warming, the world over.

National Center for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) in 1998 is being re-named as National Center for Polar and Ocean Research.

India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting Begins in Muscat.

The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, today co-chaired 8th session of India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) along with Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of Oman, Dr Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy. Addressing the Joint Commission Suresh Prabhu invited Omani companies to build on their success in India and make investments to benefit from ‘Make in India’ and ‘Invest India’ programmes which are aimed to encourage manufacturing.

India overtakes France - becomes world's sixth-largest economy

India replaces France becomes the sixth-largest economy in the world according to the data released by the world bank on GDP of countries in the world in 2017.

Surprisingly India is now after the United Kingdom, India's GDP had a $2,597 trillion as France had $2,582 trillion, less than India's helped to gain the place.

The United Kingdom has recorded their GDP as $2,622 trillion in 2017, the US stands as No.1 at $19,390 trillion and China stands no.2 $12,237 trillion.

India sees a threat to Global Economy- sky rocketing crude oil prices.

India has made it clear that crude oil prices have gone beyond limits, it has not only hurt India's fiscal balance, any more hike of oil prices would hurt the global economy.

India a major consumer of petroleum products in the world, the stress created by the steep increase of crude oil prices, it will have dents on the global economy, it is like adding fuel to the fire when the worlds' economy has threats by the trade-war between China and U.S, its repercussions felt by all the countries in the world, individually and collectively.

SCO may be a vehicle to better Indo- Pak ties"

China and Russia proposal of Eight-nation  Shanghai  Cooperation Organisation (SCO) could be a peace platform to resolve India -Pakistan differences.

 Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the enlarged SCO by including of India and Pakistan could provide a  to resolve the fresh opportunity to come on a platform to discuss the unresolved issues between New Delhi and Islamabad. 

US impose taxes on Indian steel and Aluminium- India to seek legal remedy at WTO.

The US has imposed an additional tax on Indian steel and aluminum, India would file a trade-dispute with WTO against the U.S if it fails to grant exemption on the metals.

"India has no other choice to seek exemption citing discrimination by the U.S if they refuse to grant the exemptions", stated by the Indian representatives at New Delhi. The Indian government has submitted a proposal to the U.S government which is pending in the court.

Islamic Banking proposal droped says Reserve Bank of India

Reserve Bank of India has decided not to pursue with the proposal for an Islamic Banking System in India.This is a bold step taken by the Reserve bank of India.Central Bank of India had filed an RTI inquiry on the issue, on which RBI took this decision to drop the proposal of Islamic Banking."Wider and equal opportunities are available to every Indian citizen to the banking and financial system.

Indian court bans use of high-decibel crackers after temple fireworks blaze kills 110

An Indian high court on Tuesday banned the use of high-decibel firecrackers between sunset and sunrise after a fireworks display at a Hindu temple in Kerala state ignited a series of explosions and killed 110 people.

Firecrackers and pyrotechnics materials stored in the temple in the southern state detonated on Sunday after thousands of devotees gathered to witness the pyrotechnic show to mark the start of the Hindu year.

At least 400 people were injured in the mishap.

India says will sign accord with UAE to stop human trafficking

MUMBAI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - India will sign an agreement soon with the United Arab Emirates on improving cooperation to stop human trafficking, following a similar recent deal with Bahrain, as part of a drive to tackle the growth in trafficking between the two regions.

More than 150,000 people are known to be trafficked within South Asia every year, but the trade is underground and the real number is likely to be much higher.

India to purchase surveillance drones from US

India is planning to buy 40 predator surveillance drones from United States.  this is the first step to acquire the armed version of aircraft and a development to annoy Pakistan. India is trying to boost its firepower  through the vast area of boarders with Pakistan and China. also it is now to equip the military with more armed technologies to rise intelligence.
