Retirement age of Judges- No plans to increase says Union Government.

Union Government of India has cleared the air that no change or increase in retirement age of Judges as of now.

Supreme Court Judges retire at the age of 65, whereas Judges in the High Courts retire at 62.

This decision by the government has not taken into account seriously, the number of cases pending at Kerala High Court is 1,16,052 as on August 2017 with new cases added on every day.

Former State Police Chief T P Senkumar

Former Director General of Police T P Senkumar, who was shifted as State Police Chief as soon as the Left Democratic Front Government, led by Pinarayi Vijayan assumed office, has decided to continue his legal battle for justice in the Supreme Court.

Senkumar moved the apex court the other day against the verdict of the Kerala High Court, which had dismissed the petition against his summary removal before he completed his two-year term in office. Senkumar had been appointed as State Police Chief by the previous Oommen Chandy Government.
