Air pollution is one of the most prevalent post-harvest conditions in places like Delhi and Haryana. The report said the pollution was due to the burning of post-harvest waste on the farm itself. Farmers had no other option but to remove the debris.
It is in this context that Swaraj is introducing the 963 FE tractor with the Super Cedar system. Its super cedar system will lower the crop residue deep into the soil. The manufacturers claim that this will prevent waste from being burned in the fields after harvest.
More importance should be given to the construction of such devices. Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, said on Twitter that people are ready to embrace such innovative ideas. Anand Mahindra praised the system by retweeting tweets, including a video of Swaraj Tractors.
The 963 FE is a tractor launched by Swaraj, a subsidiary of Mahindra. With a lift capacity of 2200 kg, this tractor is powered by a 3478 cc three cylinder engine. It produces 63 hp. The car has 12 forward gears and two reverse gears and is priced between Rs 7.87 lakh and Rs 8.49 lakh ex-showroom.
