The Mercedes-Benz EQC, the country's first luxury electric car, has hit the market. On-road prices start at Rs 99.3 lakh. This is the electric variant of the Mercedes GLC-Class. But it has undergone significant changes in the interior and styling to differentiate it from the standard model. The EQCV is a skateboard design with an 80kWh 348 cell lithium ion battery. The battery comes with an eight-year warranty.
If the standard 15A power supply is used, the 348 cell lithium ion battery will take 21 hours to charge. However, with a 7.5 kW wall box charger, the time can be reduced to 10 hours. It comes with an electric SUV and a 7.5 kW box charger. It can be attached at home or in the office. If you need to charge more easily, it can be charged in 90 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger.
Available in White, Silver and Dark Gray. In the first phase, it will be available in six cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Mercedes-Benz has more than 100 charging stations in 48 cities across the country. Mercedes-Benz Audi-Etron, Jaguar i-Pace and Porsche e-Taekwondo, which were the first to enter the electric vehicle market through EQC.
