Goa is ready to welcome the tourists after a long break. The tourists will be admitted from July 2. State tourism minister Manohar Ajgavonkar said this in a statement. It has also given permission for 250 hotels to remain open.
Tourist places in Goa were closed as part of a nationwide lockdown. It was decided to resume tourism related activities after the state cabinet meeting. The hotels which are licensed to operate must comply with the requirements of the State Government. Domestic travelers will be allowed only access to Goa from July 2, the minister said.
Hotels should be booked in advance. Tourists must carry a Covid 19 negative certificate. Others must be inspected at the border and remain at the Quarantine Center set up by the state until the results are reached. If the results are positive, then they should either go back to their respective states or seek treatment in Goa itself, ”he said.
Hotels and homestays that are not registered with the Tourism Department are prohibited from accepting guests.
Goa is a state on the southwestern coast of India within the region known as the Konkan, and geographically separated from the Deccan highlands by the Western Ghats. The aviation museum is one of three in India (the others are in Delhi and Bengaluru). The Goa Science Centre is in Miramar, Panaji. The National Institute of Oceanography, India(NIO) is in Dona Paula.
